Assess the sustainability of agricultural land use in specialty tea Tancuong area of Thainguyen, Vietnam

Abstract

This paper presents several research results of the analysis and synthesis of approaching and quantitative methods for sustainable development and quantification. The method of approach, creation and build of indicators to quantify sustainability in agricultural land use in Vietnam (ASI: Sustainable Indicator of Agricultural land use) was also indicated in this study. The sustainability of agricultural land use in the specialty tea Tancuong area has assessed by ASI method. The specialty tea Tancuong area was medium sustainability level with 53.65/100 scores. Solutions for the specialty tea Tancuong area should be applied to improve scores for indicators: Variable available Potassium (SI6), Variable soil organic master (SI8), Application of sustainable technology (RI2), Crop systems (RI3), and using organic nutrient sources (RI5).
