Performance Measurement of Supply Chain

Abstract

Supply chain management (SCM) is an important component of competitive strategy to enhance organizational productivity and profitability. Performance measurement have a major role in setting objective, evaluate own performance and to find actions for future. The performance measurement on supply chain is an appraisal on the performance including overall operation level, the node enterprises in the supply chain, the cooperation relationship between the node enterprises, etc. The role of these measures in development and success of an industry or organization can be seen as these measure effect strategic, planning and control of these organizations. This report present evolution of performance measures used in supply chain models and also present the process for selection of performance measurement systems for supply chain. Different types of performance measure are in use as per the supply chain performance measurement system.
