Pollution Attack Precluding in P2P System with Network Coding using KEPTE Scheme
Abstract
: Network coding is a method where flow of digital data in a network can be optimized by broadcasting digital evidence about messages. The Digital Evidence is the composition of two or more messages. When the bits of digital evidence reach at the destination, rather than directly recombine the broadcasted messages are deduced. Network coding allows all the intermediate nodes to encode incoming data packets before forwarding to downstream nodes. Network coding improves network throughput, robustness also it reduce the network consumption. However if the malicious node inject fake data packet into the network, it increases the propagation speed of the polluted data packet. There are various approaches to deal with such attacks. In this report, the schemes based on the tag encoding has been discussed to detect pollution attack in Peer to Peer network.
