The Study on Wet Air Oxidation
Abstract
Nitrogenous waste is generated in large amount by the refineries, waste treatment plants, fertilizer and dyes industries, human metabolism waste and agricultural waste. Wet air oxidation is a candidate technique for the effective treatment of wastewater containing toxic nitrogenous organic pollutants. In this work, the oxidative destruction of two model compounds, e.g., p-toluidine and quinoline, was studied. The efficacy of heterogeneous Ru/TiO2 catalyst was investigated. Finally, total organic carbon decay was described by using heterogeneous kinetic models.
